Beware of 6800LE ?

czesc,
troszke ostatnio szperam po inecie w temacie kart graficznych (bo stara ze tak
powiem dokonala zywota i szukam nowej - jakiejs na 6800LE;)) i zobaczcie co
znalazlem na jednym z forow msi:

The memory thing is ...... , and nothing more. It's partly working, but
underclocking a brand new card, i don't know...not the way i hoped to do...

We here in Germany heard from our local computer stocks, that many people bring
back their 6800LE, because of black and blue screen crahes. Mostly under 3D
conditions, as in games.
So mine did also, under battlefield vietnam. At others under D3 or UT04 etc.
Mine was also fighting with the frames, normal fr was 80 and from time to time
it broke down to 5 und than coming back to life after a few seconds. After 5 -10
Minutes, or sometimes even in the menu, crash...

So, what our stocks heard was, that NVidia itself gave a message to its
resellers like AOpen, MSI, Leadtek, Gainward, to warn about a great amount of
defectiv 6800LE chips, and thats probably why the cards are crashing into
bluescreens or blackscreens. We also heard about the crashing prob at 6800nu
cards, but that only a small amount, i hope so.

I will also make a claim at my stock and made a video of the crash prozess.
Burned it on CD
and made a few screenshot with fraps to show the fps suffering.

Pls, keep me updated if hear something new, as I will do.

i faktycznie, to co przytoczylem zdaja sie potwierdzac liczne glosy na glownie
niemieckich forach, glownie odnosnie kart msi z czipem 6800LE...czy karta
modowana czy nie, na ekranie po kilku minutach, oczywiscie zgodnie z tym co na
forach wypisuja (ja jeszcze nie mialem okazji tego osobiscie sprawdzic),
wyskakuja niebieskie screeny windy z bledem lub monitor po prostu przechodzi w
tryb standby, a jedynym ratunkiem jest twardy reset.
Ktos moze mi potwierdzic te informacje? A moze ktos ma juz msi NX6800LE i
chcialby sie podzielic wrazeniami?
