I have a big and strange probem!
I own DiamondMonster2. I use 3Dfx Ref. Drivers.
Only version 2.10 od these drivers allows me to
set the refresh rate for 512x384 at 60 Hz !!!
When I install 3.10 (Ref. with DX6.0 support)
I only could set 75 or 85 Hz for that resolution.
This is most strange, because my monitor is old,
but good enough that I can play @75 Hz using 800x600 or 640x480.
The problem only occurs in 512x384. Only 60 Hz works!
When I had Voodoo1 I could play 512x384_at_75 with the same monitor.
My questions are:
1. How can I MAKE Voodoo2 control panel give me a wider
choice of LOWER refresh rates (this must be somewhere in the Reg...) ?
I must set 60Hz or downgrade to older drivers !!!!
2. Why 3Dfx gave up offering lower refresh rates in the Panel ?
3. Why can't I play @75Hz in 512x384, although I can even in 800x600,
and I could in 512x384 having Voodoo1 ?
4. Is it true that V2 3.10 Ref.Kid for DX6 is only a BETA Version?
Is it really necessary for playing DX6 games?
